Press under fire in Puntland, CPJ tells leader

January 6, 2010

CPJ Letter is paving the way for the democracy and good governance in Punt-land state by Mr Mohamed Ali Said exiled Puntland Journalist in Nairobi.

Referring to the CPJ letter named “Press under fire in Puntland” which was published at www.Sojra.org I would like to express to our president Mr Farole that the freedom of press in Puntland is deteriorating one and you are the only one who can save it, in order our people practice the democracy that most of the developed counties are now enjoying.

In addition to that, taking an urgent action against those who punish reporters in Puntland would be the first lesson to those who are spoiling the dignity of your government and it can build our confidence in working under your authority.

I hope Mr. President you are the right president in the right time for Puntland territory.

Thanks

Mr. Mohamed Ali Said
