Working to Protect Journalist Rights and Welfare in across the country

Press Freedom Spotlight

Somalia is one of the most dangerous country for journalists in Africa and in the world. While this is existing, the Somali journalists and media professionals commit themselves to work and make possible the world to know the difficult situation that the people of Somalia are facing daily.

Our journalists are harshly oppressed by both the government and oppositions. They live under constant threat that results their abduction, murder and prosecution at any time and anywhere in the country.

The Somali Journalist Rights Agency (SOJRA) would like to publish in this page news, articles stating the freedom of press and investigating reports especially concerning the killing of Somali journalist as well as the humanitarian workers working to help the people in Somalia.

SOJRA will put effort on making strong investigation against the murdering of journalists and humanitarian workers.
